VLTD Compliance for Amaravati and Krishna District Operators
Andhra Pradesh Transport Department mandates AIS-140 certified VLTD for all commercial vehicles operating as taxis, contractor transport, or commercial cabs across the state. In Krishna district, enforcement is managed through Vijayawada RTO (AP-16) and applies to all towns including Machilipatnam, Gudivada, Nuzvid, and Nandigama. The Amaravati capital region presents a distinct compliance context. As the new seat of the Andhra Pradesh state government, Amaravati has attracted significant construction activity, government contractor fleets, real estate developer vehicles, and inter-departmental staff transport. All of these commercial vehicle categories require AIS-140 certified VLTD under the same AP Transport mandate.
